@vtaeely vtaeely released this 30 May 18:10

Initial public release of KnobMixer.

KnobMixer is a Windows per-app volume controller that redirects keyboard volume keys, Fn volume shortcuts, media buttons, and compatible USB volume knobs to one selected application instead of changing the Windows master volume.

Changelog

Added

  • Per-application volume control for Windows audio sessions.
  • Support for Spotify, Discord, browsers, games, and other apps with active audio sessions.
  • Volume Up, Volume Down, and Mute interception.
  • Support for Fn volume shortcuts when they send standard Windows volume events.
  • Raw Input / HID Consumer Control support for compatible multimedia keyboards, macro pads, and USB volume knobs.
  • System tray integration.
  • Settings persistence through a local JSON file.
  • PyInstaller build configuration.
  • GitHub Actions workflow for Windows .exe builds.
  • English and Russian README files.
  • Basic documentation in the docs folder.

Notes

Windows does not always allow complete suppression of master volume changes, especially for some HID Consumer Control devices. KnobMixer still attempts to redirect volume input to the selected application whenever possible.
