Hello world! I am Keerthana (@grittypuffy), a free software enthusiast, DEIA advocate and accessibility developer. I am a strong believer of achieving inclusion via development in the open with the people who are affected by exclusion.

I founded @fossiaorg, a women-centric community to support underrepresented people by empowering them to contribute to Indian free software ecosystem, related to inclusion and accessibility. Currently, I develop and maintain TranscribeIt and framestoryx for improving multimedia accessibility.

I drive initiatives for improving representation and opportunities for getting involved with free and open source software ecosystem by mentoring new contributors under FOSSIA. I am currently a mentor for Winter of Code 5.0, where I am involved with guiding and mentoring 15+ participants.

I am also focused on R&D for inclusive technologies in India and improving mentorship and inclusion in free and open-source software ecosystem.

I have been involved with free software communities such as FOSS United Chennai, DEI volunteer for IndiaFOSS 2025, outreach volunteer for FOSSASIA Summit 2026. I am currently an organizing committee member for CHAOSSCon EU 2026 and organizing committee member for RSAA 2026.

I contribute towards improving accessibility in free and open-source applications in my free time as a screen reader user, with some of my current involvement being FOSS United website, Serene
