This project explores how automation can support a more structured and efficient international job search.
The goal is to develop a workflow that can monitor selected job platforms for relevant Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Operations, HR Technology and recruitment process-improvement opportunities.
Manually searching multiple job platforms is repetitive and time-consuming. Relevant vacancies can also be difficult to identify when job titles differ between employers.
This project explores how automation could:
- Search selected sources at scheduled intervals
- Apply relevant locations and job-search keywords
- Organise vacancies into a structured format
- Reduce duplicate results
- Highlight opportunities that meet predefined criteria
- Reduce repetitive manual searching
The initial search will focus on:
- Talent Acquisition
- Talent Acquisition Operations
- Recruiting Operations
- HR Technology
- Recruitment Process Improvement
- HR Digital Transformation
- HR Workflow Automation
Target locations include:
- Düsseldorf and the surrounding region
- Cologne and the surrounding region
- Remote opportunities within Germany
- Selected opportunities in the Netherlands
The project will prioritise roles that can be performed primarily in English.
The project is expected to explore:
- GitHub Actions
- Python
- APIs and structured data collection
- Scheduled workflows
- Keyword filtering
- Duplicate identification
- CSV or spreadsheet output
- Define role, location and language criteria
- Select appropriate public data sources
- Build an initial data-collection workflow
- Organise results into a consistent format
- Add keyword and location filters
- Add duplicate detection
- Schedule the workflow with GitHub Actions
- Document limitations and future improvements
Through this project, I am developing practical knowledge of:
- GitHub repositories
- GitHub Actions
