A Claude skill for batch downloading academic papers from a manuscript's reference list via Crossref DOI lookup and Sci-Hub.

What it does

Given a PDF and a reference number range (e.g., "download references 82–99"), this skill:

1. Extracts the reference text from the PDF
2. Resolves DOIs via the Crossref API
3. Downloads PDFs from Sci-Hub with automatic multi-domain failover
4. Verifies each PDF is valid
5. Generates a download report

Installation

Copy this folder to your Claude skills directory. On Cowork that's:

C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\Claude-3p\local-agent-mode-sessions\skills-plugin\<uuid>\<uuid>\skills\

Usage

Upload a paper PDF and tell Claude something like:

帮我下载这篇论文里参考文献 82-99 号文献，放在当前文件夹里

Or in English:

Download references 10-25 from this paper, save them to a new folder

Limitations

• Chinese dissertations (博士/硕士论文) are NOT available on Sci-Hub and require institutional access to CNKI or Wanfang
• Pre-2000 papers may not be indexed on Sci-Hub
• Sci-Hub domain availability changes frequently — see references/scihub_domains.md
