Mercury / AI

  • mercury-2 — replaces deprecated mercury-coder-small (new Inception accounts were getting 403 / silent fallbacks).
  • reasoning_effort: low — assistant content is populated instead of reasoning eating the whole budget.
  • 30s read timeout on completions — fixes premature timeouts that surfaced as “No AI reply” in Test AI connection and on-ride fallbacks.
  • Removed newline stop — avoids empty or broken parses.
  • Robust message.content parsing — string or array-shaped content; blank after cleanup → fallback.

UX

  • Test AI connection in AI COACHING — runs the same warmup + generate path as a ride; shows elapsed time and a snippet of the reply (first call may take several seconds).

Install

Sideload PacePilot-v1.3.5-debug.apk (same package: io.hammerhead.pacepilot.debug). If Android reports a signature conflict, uninstall the previous build first, then install.
