Once on the page, look for the latest release under the "Releases" tab on the right side or scroll down to the releases section. Download the latest Windows installer or executable file (.exe) from there.

After downloading the file (usually something like
IDM-Freezer-And-Activator-Setup.exe), find it in your Downloads folder. -
Double-click the file to start the installation process.

If Windows shows a security warning, click "More info" and then "Run anyway" to continue.

Follow the instructions in the setup wizard:
- Choose where to install the program or accept the default location.
- Click "Next" on each step.
- Wait for the installation to complete.

When done, click "Finish" to close the wizard. You can choose to launch the program right away.

Open the program from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

The main window shows three main sections:

Trial Freezer: Use this to pause or freeze the IDM trial timer.

Activation Manager: Manage licenses and activate your IDM copy.

Registry Cleaner: Scan and remove leftover IDM entries from your Windows registry.

Click the desired tool depending on what you want to do.

Follow on-screen prompts to complete each action. The program guides you step by step.

You can exit the program anytime by clicking the close button.
This freezes the IDM trial clock. Use this if your trial period is ending and you want more time to test IDM without buying a license yet. The program stops IDM from reducing the trial days while frozen.
Enter your purchase key here to activate IDM fully. This section lets you check activation status, enter new keys, and deactivate if needed. It helps keep your activation records clean and valid.
Old IDM records can clutter Windows and cause errors. This tool scans Windows registry for IDM-related entries and safely removes those that could interfere with IDM’s operation or activation.

If the program does not start, try running it as Administrator. Right-click the icon and choose "Run as administrator."
