Updates on library status

Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed this library hasn’t had a new release in over 4 years — not even for dependency updates. Pull requests appear to be ignored, and the original author hasn’t been active since late 2023.

Is there anyone from the community or any maintainers who can shed some light on the current status? Is the project effectively abandoned, or is there any plan for future maintenance?

Would be great to know what to expect going forward.

Sorry, I cannot answer the original question, but I want to propose a simple alternative implementation.

I faced the same issue. With Gradle 9.0.0 this plugin breaks and is not usable any more. I did not find any alternative gradle plugin which is still maintained today.

As I don't have the time to spend the effort for maintaining the plugin, I simply removed it from my project and replaced it with ant integration. Here you can see my diff:

(replace "compileKotlin" with "compileJava" if you use Java)

While this needs some more lines of code, I can omit a dependency which is no more maintained.
