AquaMQTT on D1 mini (ESP8266MOD)

Hi,
First of all, congratulations for this project, it's really impressive
Secondly, I'm asking if there would be any hardware limitations (or whatsoever) that prevents me from adapting this project for a D1 mini board, based on ESP8266MOD.
Apart from editing the platformio config and setting the correct pinout, of course.
Maybe I'm trying to overcomplicate the project, but I already have dozens of them.

Well, it's been a while since I touched hardware. But If I remember correctly I went with the esp32s3 cause it has three individual hardware serial ports and two cores. The one from Arduino is even capable of using 5V VCC directly.. In regards to the software: If I remember correctly, I separated the uart logic from the Wi-Fi communication and run them on individual cotes 🤔 Haven't tested if a single core or is capable as well, but I guess it is worth a try. I used hardware uart for the connection to the HMI and the other one for the direction to the MAIN. The third one is the default debugging serial afair.

Be aware that if you are using MITM mode, the stability of the esp is crucial for a running heat pump. If it dies for whatever reason, the heat pump will not start to run ;)
