I'm a Platform Maintainer on Cloud Native Buildpacks (CNB), a CNCF Incubating project that turns application source code into OCI images — no Dockerfile required. If you've used Heroku, Paketo, kpack, Google Cloud Run source deploys, or Salesforce Code Builder, you've shipped software through code I maintain.
I work on CNB from Chia, Colombia, alongside a day job. Sponsorship helps me trade more of that day-job time for upstream time.

What I actually do on CNB

• buildpacks/pack (2.9k★): the reference CLI. I review PRs, triage issues, cut releases, and own a chunk of the platform-team roadmap.
• buildpacks/lifecycle: the core engine that runs inside every CNB-powered platform. Multi-arch image support, rebase, image-extension work
• buildpacks/spec and buildpacks/rfcs: I help shape the platform API and lifecycle API specifications that downstream platforms (Heroku, Paketo, kpack…) implement.
• buildpacks-community/kpack: Kubernetes-native build service. I helped move kpack into the new Buildpack Community org so it could keep evolving after VMware/Broadcom transitions.
• Community work: co-launched the Buildpack Community organization, co-presented Container Image Workflows at Scale with Buildpacks at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon EU 2024 with Aidan Delaney.
