How to control compile messages and recents

New to Code for i (coming from RDi). I've watched a lot of the Seiden Group videos (thanks) and have a rough setup. Currently I'm annoyed by the "Info" level compiler messages highlighting my source code. I was able to fumble my way through filtering them from the Problems view, but they still appear in my code. Is there any way to hide these?

Also, I found "Open Recent" on the File menu... but it doesn't seem to track my recently opened source members. We have source code in many different libraries. Is there a way to open recent members?

Yes, you can in fact filter both what is displayed in the Problems view and in the editor in one place:

1. Open the connection settings by clicking your connection in the status bar at the bottom
2. At the bottom of the Features tab, list the errors you want to ignore:

This is not currently supported, but does sound like a nice feature. Can you open a feature request via an issue in https://github.com/codefori/vscode-ibmi/issues Edit: Check out the IBM i: Go to File... command as described below.

This is currently not supported.

It is correct that "Open Recent..." in the File menu does not show opened members and streamfiles. However, you can find the list using the "IBM i Go to File..." commands. Press F1 and type ibmi go and you will get this:

Here you can choose to open for edit or for readonly - and you see the keybindings for the commands.

When you select one of the commands, you will get a list of all previously opened members and streamfiles on the IBM i you're connected to. You can filter this list to narrow it down. And you can also search in libraries, files and directories - e.g. typing Q* will show all libraries starting with Q, and typing /tmp/* will show all streamfiles in /tmp'. Filters starting with / will show streamfiles, and if the filter does not start with / you will see libraries, files and members.

Also notice the File menu is mostly used for local files - since you can have local files and remote (IBM i) files/members open at the same time...
