All texts in the Aperto Bible project are licensed under:

What does this license mean?

You are free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format

Under the following terms:

  • Attribution (BY) — You must give appropriate credit to "Aperto Bible," provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in a way that suggests Aperto Bible endorses you or your use.
  • NonCommercial (NC) — You may not use the material for commercial purposes. This means you cannot sell it, use it in a product you sell, or use it for any primarily commercial purpose.
  • NoDerivatives (ND) — You may not distribute modified versions of the material. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.

No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

What about fair use?

This license does not affect fair use, fair dealing, or any other exceptions to copyright that apply to you. You can still quote, critique, or teach with Aperto Bible texts under standard fair use provisions.
