After an accident and subsequent leg and ankle surgery I've had limited success with any kind of fitness or exercise routine. Inspired by @CCOSTAN (https://twitter.com/ccostan) walking updates, I thought I would give walking whilst I work a go. I stand at my standing desk for a good chunk of the day so why not try to combine some of that time with some exercise.
One of my colleagues walks while they work all day and highly recommended it.
I brought the Xiaomi WalkingPad A1 Pro which is control via a RF remote or via an App that connects via BLE.
Goals
- Time and distance tracking in Home Assistant. Possibly through ESPHome BLE.
- Control mode and speed as these are also exposed via BLE.
- User/profile to track data to different family members.
- Ability to record time and distance and make it available in Apple Fitness.
