The world is full of people who chase wealth, indulgence, and stimulation as if these things could fill the hollow places inside them. They spend unimaginable amounts of human labor and planetary resources trying to lock their minds into a permanent state of pleasure. They become like machines trying to eliminate the zeros from their binary souls, striving to fill themselves with nothing but ones.
