JOSS editorialbot review at openjournals/joss-reviews#10604 flagged 5 entries
as potentially having DOIs. After independent verification (doi.org resolver
+ Crossref REST API + Crossref reverse title+author search + OpenAlex index):

Updated (verified across 4 independent sources each):
- abadievives2022synthetic: @misc arXiv 2022 -> @incollection Cambridge book
  chapter "Synthetic Controls in Action" in *Advances in Economics and
  Econometrics* (2025), pages 195-224, DOI 10.1017/9781009589727.010.
  arXiv eprint 2203.06279 retained as cross-reference.
- webb2014reworking: Queen's Economics WP 1315 (2014) -> published version in
  Canadian Journal of Economics 56(3):839-858 (2023), DOI 10.1111/caje.12661.

Rejected:
- westfall1993resampling: bot suggested 10.2307/2533464 but Crossref shows
  that DOI points to a Biometrics 50(4) p.1226 book review by M.A. Martin
  (1994), not the 1993 Wiley book itself. Book retains ISBN-only entry.

No action needed:
- schwab2013ltmle: already carries the suggested DOI 10.32614/cran.package.ltmle.
- ado2019shift: already uses the published QJE DOI 10.1093/qje/qjz025, which is
  more authoritative than the bot-suggested NBER working paper DOI 10.3386/w24944.

Both updated entries are bibliography-only (no in-text \cite{} occurrences in
paper.md or docs/), so bib-key renaming was not required.
