Dotfiles Concept

Core Philosophy

This dotfiles repository is built around the principles of cross-platform compatibility, development environment optimization, and maintainable configuration management using chezmoi. The goal is to provide a consistent, efficient, and adaptable development environment across different operating systems and machines.

Key Principles

1. Cross-Platform Compatibility

The configuration is designed to work seamlessly across multiple platforms:

This is achieved through:

  • Template-based configurations (.tmpl files)
  • OS-specific shell configurations (darwin.zsh, windows.zsh)
  • Platform-specific package installation scripts

The shell environment is optimized for productivity and performance:

  • Performance monitoring via built-in zsh profiler
