Character under cursor not rendered in italic when it should be

Unlike terminal neovim, the sign under the cursor isn't rendered as italic when upon italic text.
(This is a very minor issue!)

neovim version: v0.11.2
os: Linux (Debian 12)

EDIT: I just saw there is a TODO: Set bold, italic styles in cursor.go.
