What happened?
On iOS, players could get stuck in a .failed state after the app was backgrounded or the
system reset media services. AVPlayerViewController then shows its broken-playback placeholder
over a video that should still work.
It looks like:
Expo Video fixed something similar here: expo/expo#46681
Steps to reproduce
- Play a video on iOS.
- Background the app, or trigger a media-services reset.
- Return to the app and observe the broken-playback placeholder shown over a video that should still play.
