Help with Awesome HA Blueprints for IKEA E1743 and E2002

Hello,
I am quite new to HA Blueprints and HA in general.

HA running on my Synology DS1821+ DSM 7.2 in a VM with a SkyConnect USB.

I first had my switches running ZHA but the smaller E1743 would not work after HA reboots. So I switched to Zigbee2MQTT. All the devices are recognized in Zigbee2MQTT and also work with other blueprints, but I can't seem to get them to work with these blueprints here, which I would like to use, due to their awesome possilities! Is it because I have no helper file? Do I really need to create it? If yes: how?

Also I wanted to know how exactly to use hooks.
