This repository contains the data and code related to the article Print Culture and Economic Constraints: a Quantitative Analysis of Book Prices in Eighteenth-Century Britain. It enables the replication of the results presented in the article. Because of proprietary reasons, the public version of the repository does not include the ESTC and ECCO data sets used in many of the analyses. We can provide the ESTC and ECCO data sets for replication purposes. Code, data and outputs (figures) are in their respective folders. README files describing individual scripts and data sets in detail are in the same folders as the scripts/data sets themselves.
